Danilo Cartia, cantante, banjoista, chitarrista, compositore, e insegnante (chitarra e banjo 5 corde). Già alla fine degli anni Settanta si dedica alla musica tradizionale americana ed è tra i primi a introdurre la musica Bluegrass in Italia. Il Folkstudio di Giancarlo Cesaroni, locale storico e culla della musica tradizionale ed etnica di Roma, gli offre un trampolino di lancio nella sua lunga carriera di musicista. Recentemente si è esibito anche in Messico dove ha partecipato al 1° e 2° Countryfest Internacional Mexico (2008 e 2011) e in Russia con cinque concerti (2011). Vanta numerose collaborazioni in album con svariati musicisti, tra cui quella con il grande cantautore texano David Rodriguez, con il quale hainciso l’album “Racing Aimless” (2012). E’ inoltre organizzatore della "Rome Bluegrass Jam", strumento di diffusione culturale e punto di riferimento a Roma per gli appassionati di questo genere.

Danilo Cartia, singer, banjoist, guitarist, composer, and teacher (guitar and 5-strings banjo). Since the end of the Seventies he devoted himself to traditional American music. He was among the first to introduce Bluegrass music in Italy. The well known “Folkstudio” of Giancarlo Cesaroni, the cradle of ethnic and traditional music of Rome, was the springboard for his long career in music. He also recently performed in Mexico at the 1st and 2nd Countryfest Internacional Mexico (2008, 2011), and in Russia (2011), where he played five gigs.
He collaborated with a number of musicians in the making of their albums, including the one just recorded with the great Texan singer-songwriter David Rodriguez, "Racing Aimless" (released in 2012). He is also the organizer of the "Rome Bluegrass Jam", an important point of reference for cultural and musical diffusion for the fans of this genre.
He currently performs in various bands:
